Yes, you currently get a choice of several fully electric Peugeot models.
The entry point into Peugeot’s battery-powered lineup is the e-208 hatchback. This takes the capable 208 as a starting point but trades out the engine and fuel tank for a 50kWh battery pack under the floor and a 100kW electric motor driving the front wheels. This configuration means the e-208 can return a respectable 225-mile range on a full charge and gets the kind of sprightly performance you’d expect from an EV.
If the e-208 isn’t quite practical enough for you, take a look at the relatively similar e-2008 SUV. This model offers more or less the same EV package as the e-208, though the slightly larger body brings range down to slightly more than 200 miles. The e-2008 might be a slightly better EV choice for family buyers, however, thanks to its larger cabin and boot.
This powertrain is also used in the Peugeot e-Rifter, which pairs the space of a removal van with a clean, zero-emission electric drive. Range is slightly lower due to the Rifter’s bulkier body.
