Motorpoint free three-month warranty

Peace of mind comes as standard at Motorpoint, which is why every car we sell comes with a minimum of three months warranty. If the car you’re buying has less than three months of its manufacturer’s warranty remaining, we’ll give you a three-month Motorpoint warranty for free as part of the purchase.

You can increase this three-month warranty to 12, 24 or 36 months by taking out the full Motorpoint Extended Warranty.

What does the three-month warranty cover?

All mechanical and electrical components are covered against any unexpected breakdowns during the cover period (excluding those caused by wear and tear), with an unlimited number of claims worth up to the purchase price of the car for each claim (including VAT). You’re also covered for up to 60 days abroad.

You can claim from the day of collection. You’re also covered for consequential damage so, if a part of your car fails and then damages another part, both parts are covered by the warranty.

The warranty also includes 24-hour breakdown assistance, which starts on the day of collection.

In addition, the warranty covers:

  • Repairs to all included parts
  • Labour, with no limit*
  • VAT is included
  • Repairs at any VAT-registered garage
  • £30-a-day vehicle replacement contribution for a maximum of seven days

* The amount of time allowed for labour will be in line with the manufacturer’s/Glass’s Guide standard repair times.

*This policy covers mechanical clutch issues only and excludes issues caused by general wear and tear, such as worn face plates.
