Motorpoint Hire Reward Warranty (Cars and Commercials)

For extra reassurance we offer the Motorpoint Extended Warranty for commercial vehicle use. The Motorpoint Hire and Reward Extended Warranty covers you for:

  • Cover for all mechanical and electrical parts, with VAT included and no cap on labour charges
  • An unlimited number of claims
  • 24-hour breakdown assistance
  • A claim limit of the cost of the vehicle per claim (e.g. if you paid £17,000 for your vehicle, the maximum you can claim for a warranty item is £17,000)
  • Repairs to all included parts
  • Repairs at any VAT-registered garage
  • Full warranty cover for up to 60 days abroad 
  • Cover for consequential damage (e.g. if a part breaks and subsequently damages another part of your vehicle, the warranty will cover both items)
  • MOT insurance cover – £750 of cover to help your vehicle pass its MOT if it fails (one claim per year)

Warranty claims can be made immediately after you collect your vehicle, and your breakdown cover also starts immediately. Please note wear and tear is excluded from the warranty cover.

How to keep your warranty valid

All you need to do is keep your vehicle serviced in line with the manufacturers’ guidelines, and you must report the fault no later than 14 days after it was discovered. MOT insurance claims must be made within 30 days of the MOT failure.

If your vehicle has no service history, or the service history is incomplete, the vehicle must be serviced by a VAT-registered garage within 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever is sooner) from the date you bought the vehicle.

It must then be serviced in line with the manufacturer’s specifications, or every 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever is sooner).

The price of the Motorpoint Extended Warranty for hire and reward customers varies depending on the value of your vehicle. See the table below for costs. The Motorpoint Extended Warranty cost can be rolled into your finance agreement to help you spread the cost.
