Hyundai has revealed official pricing for the new Ioniq 3 hatchback.
The new car costs from £22,245 and is available to reserve now. That means deliveries are likely to arrive towards the end of the year.

This is the smallest model in Hyundai's growing Ioniq lineup of electric cars. It measures just under 4.2 metres long, which puts it towards the top of the supermini segment, but Hyundai reckons the car's EV platform unlocks an amount of space that's similar to hatches from the class above.
That temptingly low entry-level price buys an Advance model with the smaller 42kWh battery pack. On a full charge and ideal conditions, Hyundai claims this setup will return 213 miles. We'd expect around 150 in the real world. That should be enough for most trips by most drivers, but might be a little short if it's going to be your only car.
For an extra £2,000 – after the government's EV grant is taken into account – you can upgrade to the 61kWh battery pack. This bumps range up to a respectable 308 miles, which should be enough for the Ioniq 3 to tackle pretty much any driving you throw at it.

Entry-level Advance trim gets climate control, adaptive cruise control, all-round parking sensors, a reversing camera, and a big infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Upgrading to Premium trim adds bigger alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, battery preconditioning, auto wipers and a wireless smartphone charger.
Ultimate brings even bigger alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, adjustable front lumbar support and reclining rear seats. Meanwhile, N Line Evo gets a sporty makeover outside and an enlarged infotainment screen inside.

All upgrade trims are exclusively equipped with the bigger 61kWh battery pack. Oddly, however, this bigger battery actually gets a smaller motor, with 135hp and a respectable 9.5-second 0-62mph time. In comparison, the 42kWh model gets 147hp and an 8.8-second 0-62mph time.
