Why buy a used Peugeot 3008?

There's no shortage of family SUV competitors in this space, but the Peugeot 3008 still stands out. The 2024-onwards model especially has ultra-modern styling and a plush avant-garde cabin that's so posh it gives pricey German premium cars a run for their money. Drivers shopping nearly new and used 3008s will encounter both the latest model and its predecessor.

The old 3008 came with a choice of petrol, diesel or plug-in-hybrid power, while the new model is available as either a mild-hybrid, a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric car, sometimes called the e-3008.

Popular Peugeot 3008 trims for sale at Motorpoint

The trim range for the 2024-onwards 3008 starts with Allure, stepping up through Allure Premium, GT and then  GT Premium. Some trims are only available on the electric e-3008. All models get a 21-inch panoramic curved display, which functions as a central screen and a driver's display. You also get cruise control.

GT models add pixel LED headlights which can block out other traffic, a hands-free electric tailgate, bigger alloy wheels, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel as well as more ambient lighting. You also get an upgrade to adaptive cruise control.

GT Premium models add diamond-cut alloy wheels on electric and PHEV models, 10-way adjustable front massage seats, as well as heated rear seats.

Popular trim levels for the pre-2024 Peugeot 3008 include Active Premium, Allure and GT Premium.

Standard equipment on Active Premium cars is strong, with 17-inch alloys, DAB radio, dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Allure brings extra driver-assist tech, a built in sat-nav and 18-inch alloys. GT Premium gets 19-inch alloys, a Focal premium stereo and a 360º parking camera.

Owning a used Peugeot 3008

The Peugeot 3008 feels like it's trying to give owners something a little extra. Inside, you'll find upmarket materials and a modern, angular design, plus glossy tech on the latest car complete with Star-Trek-style touch-sensitive hotkeys in the middle of the dash. All versions should be fairly affordable to run, though you'll take a meaningful chunk out of your monthly costs if you pick either a PHEV or full EV version and can charge it at home.
