Why buy a used Lexus LBX
The LBX is the smallest Lexus ever made, measuring less than 4.2 metres long. However, all the brand's usual hallmarks are still present, including faultless quality, plush materials, and a calm attitude. Under the metalwork, it uses the same self-charging-hybrid system as the Toyota Yaris Cross, but with a little extra power and refinement to elevate the experience. Like its stablemates, you benefits from Lexus' 10-year service-activated warranty.

Owning a Lexus LBX
Life with a Lexus LBX is pretty sweet. It's a posh, premium car that feels much more special than the somewhat pedestrian Toyota it's based on. Those bones serve it well, however, since you get a long warranty and an enviable reliability reputation, plus impressive fuel economy in real-world use. Probably the only stumbling block might be the car's size, as it might be a fraction too small if you need a practical family car.

Lexus LBX FAQs
The Lexus LBX is 4.19 metres long, 2.03 metres wide including the door mirrors, and 1.56 metres tall.
That's quite small among premium brands, with only the Audi Q2 being comparable at 4.21m, 2.01m, and 1.51m respectively.
As a result, the LBX is very easy to drive and park in tight city streets, but the cabin is a little tight as a trade-off.
Most LBX models are front-wheel drive and have a 402-litre boot. That's about average for the class, and respectable considering the LBX is a fraction smaller than most direct rivals.
Higher-end LBX models have optional four-wheel drive. This adds a second electric motor to power the rear axle, which steals a bit of underfloor space, dropping the total to 317 litres.
There's only one engine in the LBX at the moment – a 1.5-litre self-charging hybrid, shared with high-end versions of the Toyota Yaris Cross.
In practice, it's a great setup. You get quick responses from the electric motor, and its 136hp output is just enough to reach cruising speeds without feeling strained. Plus, it can readily achieve more than 60mpg if you drive gently.
