Motorpoint is set to re-open its branch in Glasgow on June 29

“We have been working hard behind the scenes in Glasgow redesigning our processes in order to minimise contact and with it ensure customers and colleagues are COV19-secure at all times ”

The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which was recently awarded Platinum status by Feefo for its customer service, will once again start welcoming members of the public through its doors following new advice from the Scottish Government.

Motorpoint has been busy offering Home Delivery across England, Scotland and Wales during the lockdown, as well as more recently, appointment-only Contactless Collections for customers prior to fully re-opening its branches in England and Wales earlier this month.

Now, from Monday, June 29 onwards, customers will be able to once again freely visit the Motorpoint branch on Hamilton Road in Mount Vernon seven days a week to browse up to 500 low mileage, nearly new cars and light commercial vehicles from 30 different manufacturers – all of which will be available for same day driveaway.

What’s more, every vehicle comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car from a competitor. As an added bonus, it will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.

Mark Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of Motorpoint, explained: “We’re delighted to fully re-open our doors to the public in Scotland following the Government’s announcement. We have been working hard behind the scenes in Glasgow redesigning our processes in order to minimise contact and with it ensure customers and colleagues are COV19-secure at all times, so that we are in a position to welcome customers, old and new, back into our branch.”

As part of this safeguarding process customers will be able to test drive cars without someone from Motorpoint being present while all vehicle collections in Glasgow will be completed in specially designated areas to guarantee social distancing at all times. Motorpoint has also launched an Online Portal to ensure that the car buying experience is now completely paperless.

Motorpoint will continue to operate its hugely popular free home delivery service covering the whole of the UK mainland for those customers who would prefer not to visit the branch, backed by its 14 day hassle free, money back guarantee.

Mark Carpenter added: “With our branch in Glasgow set to re-open, backed by industry leading services such as Home Delivery and Contactless Collection, customers from across Scotland can choose to buy and receive their new car from Motorpoint in a way that best suits them while equally importantly staying safe at all times.”
