Used Ora model range

Ora pounced on the UK market with its Funky Cat, a cute-looking electric hatchback that rivals the Mini Cooper SE and Peugeot e-208. Ora’s designer once worked for Porsche, which you can kind of see in the Funky Cat’s design. Later cars were renamed the Ora 03 – these are the same as the Funky Cat but just have a different name. Both have a cool interior and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.

The Ora 07 is the brand’s second model. It’s a sleek electric saloon in the mould of the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal, and kind of looks like a Porsche Panamera if you really squint.

GWM Ora FAQs

Yes, every Ora that’s coming to the UK is electric. The Funky Cat/03 has a 43kWh battery for a claimed range of 193 miles, while the Ora 07 is likely to return around 300 miles thanks to a larger battery.

Chinese automotive conglomerate Great Wall Motor (GWM) makes Ora cars – Ora is one of its electric-focused sub-brands. Ora cars are built in Taizhou, China.

It’s perhaps a little too soon to know about the long-term reliability of a GWM Ora 03 or 07, but they’re built by a huge and established vehicle manufacturer. And the fact that all UK cars are electric should mean Ora’s reliability is positive – an electric powertrain has far fewer moving parts than a petrol or diesel engine.
