Dacia Sandero and Jogger facelift: price, specs & release date

Dacia’s cheapest models haven’t been forgotten amongst the brand’s recent releases.

The Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger have been treated to a midlife refresh.

Perhaps the most noticeable change is a new front end treatment. The bumper design is tougher on the Stepway and the Jogger, while the Sandero’s design is a bit more sophisticated.

All come with redesigned headlights, too. We’re told the ‘upside-down T’ design of the daytime running lights is the next chapter of Dacia styling. Between the headlights, the grille now gets contrasting white dots across it.

Around the back, the tail-lights match the design of the front lights, and the Stepway gets a matte black strip that connects the light clusters.

Stepway and Jogger models now get the Starkle material for the cladding – a recycled plastic that was first brought in on the new Duster.

There are also new wheel designs and new colours, including an Amber Yellow metallic shade on the Sandero and Sandero Stepway.

Dacia’s 155hp hybrid engine, introduced on the Bigster, is now available on the Jogger, and it’ll be added to the Sandero Stepway in late 2026. It includes a 109hp engine and a 50hp motor, plus a 1.4kWh battery and an automatic gearbox. Compared to the Jogger’s 140hp hybrid engine, the new hybrid is said to be 10% more efficient. Dacia says the new hybrid can run on electric power for up to 80% of the time in city driving, and that it’ll always start on electric power.

Meanwhile, the Sandero’s 1.0-litre engine has been upgraded from 90hp to 100hp, and it still comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The previous eight-inch touchscreen has swollen by two inches, and there’s wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, for the first time, a wireless phone charger is available as an option.

Additionally, Dacia has added extra standard safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking and driver attention alert.

Elsewhere in the Dacia range, the Spring electric city car has gained more powerful electric motors, up to 70hp and 100hp from 45hp and 65hp. The most powerful motor enables a rapid 50-75mph time of just 6.9 seconds – a big difference from the 14 seconds it takes the 65hp motor. There are chassis upgrades, too, including the addition of an anti-roll bar.
