Audi has updated the Q4 e-tron for 2026, with upgrades to the interior and powertrains.
The Audi Q4 has been the brand’s best-selling electric car, and these updates aim to keep it that way.
The main thing you’ll notice is a brand-new interior design, featuring a new dashboard and steering wheel. Just like in the latest Audi Q3 – the fuel-powered equivalent to the Q4 in Audi’s range – there’s a new 12.8-inch screen sitting next to a 11.9-inch instrument cluster. If you wish, your passenger can also point their eyeballs at an additional 12-inch touchscreen.

Audi’s new infotainment system is likely to run on Android software, bringing easy integration with Google Maps and apps. The voice assistant now includes ChatGPT for an apparently more natural conversation experience.
There are 63kWh and 82kWh batteries, plus a more efficient motor setup. Audi reckons you’ll see up to 367 miles from a charge, if you pick the Q4 Sportback ‘Performance’ model. The swoopy Sportback body style is a bit more efficient than the more conventional SUV body style.

A slightly faster maximum charge rate – up from 175kW to 185kW – reduces the amount of time you’ll be waiting at a charger. In 10 minutes, the Q4 Sportback ‘Performance’ can add up to 115 miles. The battery can be preconditioned automatically or manually, enabling the fastest possible charge rate.
For the first time in an Audi, the Q4 also now offers bi-directional charging; the new Vehicle-to-Load functionality allows you to power other electricals, such as e-bikes, from the car’s battery.
All-wheel-drive quattro models can now tow 1,800kg, boosting the Q4’s appeal if you need to tow a caravan or trailer.

When the new Q4 becomes available to order in June 2026, the entry-level Q4 e-tron Sport model will cost £46,260 before options.
The rear-drive Performance model in Sport trim starts at £50,960, while the dual-motor ‘quattro Performance’ engine is £55,960. Across the range, it’s a roughly £3,000 jump to upgrade to S Line, and a similar amount again to get into the Black Edition trim.
