Your Skoda questions answered
Skoda has a strong reputation for reliability today, truly putting to bed the old stigma associated with the brand. You can thank its Volkswagen ownership for that, sharing the majority of robust mechanical components with VW itself, along with SEAT and Audi.
The Skoda Kodiaq is one of the best large family cars you can buy, and offers excellent value for money on the used market. If you want something smaller in stature but with a massive boot, the Octavia is worth a look, and then there's the Superb, which is… just great.
Skoda models are generally quite affordable to maintain, owing to straightforward engineering and widespread parts sharing with other Volkswagen-owned brands.
The Skoda Karoq is an immensely popular car in the UK, with the SUV a fantastic choice as a family car. There's a tonne of them on the used market as a result.
