The MG3 is a small five-door hatchback with a couple of trim levels and one petrol engine. It was given a major facelift in 2018 with more modern styling and the inclusion of a touchscreen with iPhone connectivity and, from 2020, the top-spec Exclusive includes iGo sat nav as standard.
As it’s a relatively simple car, the MG3 should have little to go wrong. If anything does start misbehaving, the MG3 has a seven-year/80,000-mile warranty that makes the Fiesta’s three-year/60,000-mile cover look rather meagre.
MG3s offer the space of a Ford Fiesta or Toyota Yaris at the price of a much smaller city car, so they offer good value for money – and its long warranty should give peace of mind if anything goes wrong.
