Why buy a used BYD Seal U

A used BYD Seal U is an excellent choice for buyers who value space, technology and saving money. The marine-inspired Seal U is a plug-in hybrid with up to 78 miles of pure electric driving – with the backup of a petrol engine for longer journeys or when you can't easily charge. There's a long equipment list with everything except the kitchen sink included, and yet BYD's large five-seat SUV is cheaper than rivals from more established brands.

Popular BYD Seal U trims for sale

• Boost – Entry-level Seal U stands out with vegan leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker sound system and 50 miles of electric range
• Comfort – Mid-range model features the same standard equipment as Boost, but its larger battery increases electric range to 78 miles
• Design – A powerful range-topper with all-wheel drive, off-road driving modes and fast acceleration

Owning a BYD Seal U

The BYD Seal U will spoil you with lots of high-tech features and plenty of passenger space. Although BYD has only been selling cars in the UK for a couple of years, you can take comfort from the fact that BYD is one of the world's largest automakers. Its DM-i hybrid engines seem to be very reliable, and manufacturing faults will be covered under BYD's six-year warranty. The Seal U also scored five stars in its Euro NCAP crash test, so it's a very safe car for you and your family.
