The BMW iX2 is a good choice if you want a distinctive-looking electric SUV with lots of tech and a decent range. It charges quickly, drives well and has a sturdily built interior.

With its 130kW maximum charging rate, the BMW iX2 can achieve a 10-80% top-up in 29 minutes at a powerful enough public charger. Most buyers will charge at home, where a 0-100% charge takes 10 hours – but you'll more likely charge it between 20-80% unless you're going on a long journey.

The BMW iX2 doesn't have a heated steering wheel as standard; it's an optional extra across all models. At the time of writing, it costs £175 to add a heated steering wheel to a factory-ordered iX2.
