Why buy a used Audi Q5?

From its handsome design to its elegant interior, the Audi Q5 is a sophisticated midsize SUV with room for all the family. It devours long journeys but standard-fit parking assistance means it’s not a hindrance in a busy town centre. Powerful engines, an automatic gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system make the Q5 an all-conquering car, giving you total peace of mind that you can handle any driving situation you might come across.

Audi released a sharply styled third generation of the Q5 in 2025, which added Audi's latest generation of infotainment and driver assistance technology while retaining the car's brilliant all-round SUV abilities.

If the regular Q5 is too dowdy for your tastes, consider the Q5 Sportback – it's the same car as the regular Q5, but with a swoopy coupe roofline (which does slightly reduce rear headroom and boot space).

Popular Audi Q5 trims for sale at Motorpoint

Sport trim is the entry point in the Q5 range, but it’s a mid-range model elsewhere. And that means you get lots of standard equipment. On the 2025-onwards model that list includes 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic high-beam assist, front sports seats and adaptive cruise control. S Line and Black Edition models are more design-focused, with bigger wheels, lower suspension and larger air intakes on the bumper that really makes it stand out.

Owning a used Audi Q5

Buying and running a used Audi Q5 shouldn’t cost any more than its main premium SUV rivals. From behind the wheel, the Q5 feels solid and dependable – a feeling that’s backed up by Audi’s generally good reputation for reliability. Petrol and plug-in hybrid engines are ideal for lower-mileage or predominantly urban drivers, while the diesel engines will suit if you drive long distances or want to tow something heavy.
