Fiat’s second bear-named model has been brought out of hibernation.
Meet the Fiat Grizzly, a new SUV that’s clawing its way into the family car market.
The Grizzly will be introduced into the wild in the later months of 2026, and we’ll have to wait until then to find out how much it’ll cost to adopt one. But it’s likely that prices will start from around £25,000.
There’s the standard Grizzly SUV, or a Grizzly Fastback, which sort of sounds like a wily American baseball player to our ears. As you can see from the one official photo released so far, the Fastback will feature a sloping roofline to give it the appearance of a jacked-up saloon.
The Grizzly shares some of the same family features as the Grande Panda, such as the square-jawed front end and intricate light signatures. Chunky wheel arches give it lots of presence, and it looks like there’s imprinted body panelling like on the Panda.
Measuring just under 4.5 metres long, the Grizzly twins offer a ‘best-in-class boot capacity’ and ‘exceptional interior space’.

Hopefully the interior of the Grizzly is just as fun as the Grande Panda’s interior, which sprinkles in Fiat logos and classic design cues in a whimsical and entertaining way. The Grande Panda also makes good use of recycled materials; we’d expect that to be the case here too.
The Grizzly is underpinned by Stellantis’ Smart Car Platform, which also is the bedrock for the latest Citroen C3 Aircross and Vauxhall Frontera – as well as the Grana Padano.
As such, we expect Fiat’s SUV to come with the same pared-back 10-inch screens as those cars.
This also means the Grizzly will be offered with either a 1.2-litre petrol engine or fully electric power. A 54kWh battery in the e-Grizzly should return around 250 miles of range. The cars we’ve mentioned also come with a 44kWh battery, but the range could be too short for the bigger Grizzly.
Fiat has access to hybrid and non-hybrid versions of this 1.2-litre engine. The non-hybrid engine comes with 100hp and a six-speed manual gearbox, and has just been introduced in the Fiat 600 range. Hybrid versions boast 136hp and come with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
