Why buy a used Peugeot Partner

The Peugeot Partner van is the most efficient van from Peugeots range. With its 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 100hp or 130hp, the Partner can return up to 56mpg when unladen (54mpg with the automatic gearbox).

The 100hp engine is also available in the bigger Expert, alongside a 2.0-litre diesel with 120hp, 145hp or 180hp. If you’re not in a rush, the smallest engine will return up to 45mpg, while the 145hp version of the 2.0-litre engine returns up to 40mpg. Most versions of the Boxer with a 2.2-litre diesel will also manage up to 40mpg – although fuel economy figures for all will be lower once you’ve got some tools and materials on board.

Are Peugeot vans reliable?

Generally, modern Peugeot vans are seen as being reliable. It helps that their engines and many other parts are shared with so many other van models. Peugeot vans have a long two-year/25,000-mile service interval, which suggests the manufacturer has confidence in the durability of their commercial vehicles.

FAQs

In Euro NCAP’s van tests, the Peugeot Boxer scored bronze and the Peugeot Expert scored silver (there are also gold and platinum categories). The safety tests broadly praised the autonomous emergency braking system fitted to the Expert, but it dropped points for its lane-departure warning system not engaging until you exceed 50mph. The Peugeot Expert performed slightly better than the identical Citroen Dispatch, but not quite as well as the Mercedes Vito and Ford Transit Custom.

Yes, all three of the vans we just mentioned are available with fully electric powertrains. The Peugeot e-Partner uses the same 50kWh battery as the e-208, for a range of up to 170 miles. Topping the range, the e-Boxer has a 75kWh battery and gives a 154-mile range, and the middling e-Expert is available with both powertrain options
