What Ford vans are there?

If you need some cargo space but don’t really need an actual van, Ford has you covered with the Fiesta Sport Van – a three-door Fiesta ST-Line with the rear seats and windows removed. That’s a sign of just how many commercial vehicle bases Ford has covered – here are the rest.

Ford’s smallest proper van is the Transit Courier, which is also Fiesta-based. Above that is the Transit Connect, which you’d cross-shop against a Citroen Berlingo or Volkswagen Caddy.

The Transit Custom needs little introduction. Sizewise, it’s similar to the Citroen Dispatch and Volkswagen Transporter. Ford’s full-size Transit is up next.

All of those come as panel vans, while the Transit and Transit Custom are also available as crew vans and people movers. Ford even makes a campervan out of the Transit Custom, brilliantly called the Nugget. The Transit is the base for large van conversions like tippers and Luton vans.

Then there’s the Ford Ranger pickup truck, which is offered as a regular, crew or double cab – you’re most likely to find the latter at Motorpoint.

Does Ford make an electric van?

It does. Ford’s e-Transit may well be the best electric van on sale right now, with a 196-mile range, powerful yet quiet driving experience and the feeling that it’s been converted properly and thoughtfully – which isn’t the case with every electric van.

On the smaller Transit Custom, a plug-in hybrid powertrain is available and combines a petrol engine with a large battery and an electric motor.
