FAQs
Piggybacking off the Fiat 500, the Abarth version shares its good and bad aspects. The 500 isn’t the first car that comes to mind when you think of reliable models, so it’s hard to say whether the Abarth 595 and 695 will be dependable. Replacement parts will be more expensive than the standard Fiat 500, especially the branded brake and suspension parts. For peace of mind, take out the Motorpoint Extended Warranty when you buy your new dream car.
Yes. After the production of the 595 and 695 ended, Abarth pivoted to an electric-only brand. It currently sells the 500e and 600e performance models, with lairy paint options and booming speakers aiming to capture the mini racing car feel of older Abarth models.
Turismo and Competitizione are two of Abarth’s trim levels. Until recently, the Competitizione had more power than the Turismo, plus extra go-faster features like upgraded brakes and a raspier exhaust. The Abarth-tuned 500 has also had a vast selection of special editions, including the racy Esseesse and 70th Anniversario editions, as well as tie-ins with Ferrari plus Monster and Yamaha.
T-Jet is the name of Abarth’s 1.4-litre petrol engine, with the T standing for turbocharged. All petrol versions, regardless of their power output, get this Fiat-sourced engine.
