Why home delivery is the way forward for Graham Williams

10 June 2020 Press Release

Graham Williams absolutely loves his cars. Now retired, Graham, who spent many years working for Honda in Swindon, has pretty much driven them all.

“Home delivery means you can get the car you want at the time you want and avoid those journeys travelling back and forth to the showroom, which is great news for me, as I get to spend more time on the golf course at St Mary's Pencoed, which as anyone”

“You name it, I’ve driven it,” explained the keen golfer. “BMW, Jaguar, Honda of course, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, the list is endless.

“I just love my cars as you would expect from someone who worked for Honda for so many years and, in particular, the incredible engineering that goes into making them.”

Graham can now add to that list a Mazda 6 which he has just had delivered by Motorpoint to his home in the former mining village of Gilfach Coch up in the Rhondda.

“It’s absolutely gorgeous. I went onto the Motorpoint website and found one I liked with the Ivory White interior. Normally I would have gone to the branch in Newport but that’s not possible at the moment because of COVID-19 so I ordered it online and the team brought it to my doorstop using their home delivery service.

“The whole process from start to finish was marvellous. From the guys in Derby who I spoke too on the phone to the team from Motorpoint that brought the car to the house – everyone couldn’t have been nicer.

“My wife and I can’t wait for the lockdown to ease in Wales so we can take the Mazda up to Oxfordshire to see our four grandchildren. We’ve missed them so much and can’t wait to see them all again. Plus it’s a chance to check out all the gadgets in the new car."

Added Graham: “While I don’t have a particular preference, I definitely think buying online and delivering the car to your door is going to be the way forward,” added Graham, who has been keeping fit during the lockdown with twice daily walks with Zeus, his seven-stone Rhodesian Ridgeback.

“It’s not to say I don’t like car showrooms, because I do. It’s more that buying your car online is so much more convenient. And home delivery means you can get the car you want at the time you want and avoid those journeys travelling back and forth to the showroom – which is great news for me,  as I get to spend more time on the golf course at St Mary's Pencoed, which as anyone who knows me will testify, is something I love - almost as much as I do my cars.”
