Motorpoint to sponsor celebrity football match in Sheffield

03 June 2019 Press Release

Motorpoint has agreed to sponsor a Celebrity Football Match in Sheffield next month in aid of Cash for Kids.

Our Sheffield branch has teamed up with its long-standing charitable partner to support the first-ever Cash for Kids v Supporting Charities FC game on Fathers Day at Jubilee Sports Club on Clay Wheels Lane. The 11-a-side game, featuring a host of TV personalities on SCFC's side, will face an unproven but talented Cash for Kids team including several members of staff from Motorpoint. Emmerdale star James Hooton, who plays Sam Dingle in the popular ITV soap and David Kennedy, who plays Dirk Savage in Hollyoaks, are among the celebrities to have already signed up to take part in the game. Doors open at 12pm and kick off is scheduled for 1.30pm.

Chris Goodison, General Manager of Motorpoint Sheffield, said: “We’re big football fans at Motorpoint and jumped at the chance to be able to support our charitable partner Cash for Kids with their first-ever Celebrity Football match. It promises to be a great day and we can’t wait for Father’s Day and the chance to put on our boots and get involved for a great cause.”

Tickets for the event on Sunday 16th June are £4 for adults and £2 for children under the age of 18. As it's Father's Day, all Dads go free as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a full price ticket. All money raised from ticket sales will go towards disadvantaged children in the region.
