Motorpoint returns to TV as part of major new marketing campaign

Motorpoint is returning to the small screen on Boxing Day with a new national TV advert

The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which has a network of stores throughout England, Scotland and Wales, will back on air from December 26 as part of a wider through-the-line campaign to promote its ‘Car Buying Made Easy’ message to customers.

Motorpoint, which has just opened its latest store in Stockton-on-Tees following a multi-million-pound investment in the site on Teesside, has partnered with 2020 Media to create new 30” and 10” TV commercials for broadcast on BT Sports, C4, ITV and Sky across the UK.  Adapted versions have also been created exclusively for digital platforms.

The advert, which features several of the team who work in store for Motorpoint, forms part of a wider through-the-line marketing campaign across digital, OOH, radio and social media platforms to highlight how easy it is to buy a nearly new, low mileage car or commercial vehicle from Motorpoint.

Hayden Vokes, Marketing Director at Motorpoint, explained: “We are genuinely excited to be returning to the small screen with our new campaign creative, especially with it featuring a number of the Motorpoint team, and are extremely confident that our new ‘Car Buying Made Easy’ message will really resonate with viewers over the festive period and beyond.”

Venessa Chin, Customer Service Manager at Motorpoint Peterborough, and one of those featured in the TV advert, added: “Christmas definitely came early for me being chosen to appear in the new Motorpoint TV advert. We work so hard as a company to bring our customers the best value cars and it’s been amazing to help play my part in getting this message across to the whole nation.”

Motorpoint currently stocks over 6,000 low mileage, nearly news cars and light commercial vehicles from 30 different manufacturers across its group, all of which have less than 30,000 miles.

Every vehicle is checked by experts from Motorpoint and comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty (or six-month Motorpoint warranty) backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car cheaper from a competitor. As an added bonus, Motorpoint will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.

Motorpoint has also made contactless collection standard at all its stores that are currently fully open in the wake of the new COVID-19 tier restrictions. This facility allows customers to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines and choose, buy and drive away without any physical contact with a member of staff. There is also the option to Reserve and Collect in store seven days a week or, if you would prefer, opt for free Home Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland.
