Motorpoint Swansea has adopted Maggie’s as its charitable partner

The Swansea branch of the UK’s leading independent car retailer, which is based on Samlet Road in the city, will support the work of the popular independent charity for a minimum of 12 months.

The 28-strong workforce at the Motorpoint branch recently voted to give their backing to Maggie’s Swansea, which is based at its specially-designed centre in Singleton Hospital. The team are already busy working on fundraising ideas including a cycle ride across Wales early next year.

Created by the world renowned Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa, the centre, which opened its doors in 2011, provides a unique home from home for people who are dealing with cancer in South West Wales. Last year Maggie’s supported some 13,000 people.

We’re already busy working on fundraising ideas that we can drive forward over the coming weeks and months to help raise as much money as possible to continue the work of this much-loved charity.”
