In Euro NCAP’s van tests, the Peugeot Boxer scored bronze and the Peugeot Expert scored silver (there are also gold and platinum categories). The safety tests broadly praised the autonomous emergency braking system fitted to the Expert, but it dropped points for its lane-departure warning system not engaging until you exceed 50mph. The Peugeot Expert performed slightly better than the identical Citroen Dispatch, but not quite as well as the Mercedes Vito and Ford Transit Custom.
