Ford SUV FAQs

Ford currently makes three SUVs for the UK market: the Fiesta-size Ford Puma, the larger Ford Kuga and the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-e.

It entirely depends on your needs. The Puma's a small SUV that's great if you won't regularly use the back seats, while the Kuga's a full-size family SUV that can take a family of four on holiday for a week with all their luggage. The Mustang Mach-e can also do that, but is electric only.

The biggest Ford SUV on sale in the UK is the Mustang Mach-e – it's 4.71m long, a whole 10cm longer than the 4.61m-long Ford Kuga. In the USA things are a whole lot bigger – the Ford Expedition MAX is a parking-lot filling 5.63m long. That's about as long as the biggest Rolls-Royce!

The smallest Ford SUV on sale in the UK is the Puma, which is 4.2m long.

Yes! The Ford Kuga is available as a full hybrid (aka a self-charging hybrid), or as a plug-in hybrid which can travel almost 40 miles on electric power alone.

Yes – Ford usually finishes in the top 10 of most reliability surveys, so we'd have no qualms recommending a Ford SUV.
