BMW coupe FAQs

The 2 Series, 4 Series and 8 Series are BMW's current coupes. Each are also available as four-door Gran Coupe versions, while there's also the i4 (an electric version of the 4 Series Gran Coupe) and, until recently, the i8.

BMW doesn't just have a two-door coupe, it has three to choose from. There's the 2 Series Coupe, 4 Series Coupe and 8 Series Coupe, in ascending order of size and price.

BMW's Gran Coupe cars are four-door versions of coupe models – the 4 Series Gran Coupe is a bit sleeker than the 3 Series saloon it's based on, but more practical than the two-door 4 Series Coupe.

The BMW 2 Series is usually the cheapest BMW coupe currently on sale. Closely related to the BMW 1 Series, its engines are economical yet powerful enough to feel quick in day-to-day driving.
