Owning a KGM

The KGM ownership experience emphasises practicality and rugged design over sporty looks. Standard equipment is generous and you’ll find the same infotainment tech, premium audio and advanced driver assistance as many pricier brands. You also have the backing of an included five-year KGM warranty – two longer than the industry standard.

FAQs

Yes, the KGM Torres EVX is the brand’s electric offering. It can travel up to 287 miles on a full charge yet, unlike many electric cars, it can still tow up to 1.5 tonnes.

Yes, every KGM and SsangYong available at Motorpoint can be financed on Hire Purchase (HP), and some can be financed through Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) as well. Every one of our car adverts features a handy finance calculator, where you can adjust the terms to suit you.

SsangYong was on the brink of bankruptcy a couple of years ago, and were bought out by Korea’s KG Group in November 2022. After that, SsangYong was rebranded to KG Mobility, more commonly known as KGM.

KGM cars are made in the brand’s homeland of South Korea. All of KGM’s current models come with a seven-year/90,000-mile warranty.

We haven’t heard any major problems with SsangYong cars, which means the rebranded KGM cars should be reliable as well. The Torres EVX is likely to be the most reliable model, as its electric powertrain has far fewer moving parts than a petrol or diesel engine.
