Motorpoint sponsors legendary St Pat Rocks in Birmingham

08 March 2019 Press Release

St Pat Rocks forms key part of the St Patrick’s Day Festival

Motorpoint is aiming to hit the right note with its sponsorship of the legendary St Pat Rocks in Birmingham.

We have agreed to sponsor the open air one day music venue at the Custard Factory as part of our continuing support for the St Patrick’s Day Festival. Legendary Irish folk singer songwriter Finbar Furey will headline St Pat Rocks, which runs throughout the day and into the early evening.

The annual St Patrick’s Day Festival in Birmingham, which this year takes place on Sunday 17th March, is the third biggest in the world. It sees Digbeth turn into a sea of green as upwards of 90,000 people line the St Patrick’s Day Parade route. From Camp Hill to Digbeth the crowds watch dozens of floats along with marching bands and entertainers from across the city. The Parade has taken place every year in Digbeth since 1996.

John Forster, General Manager of Motorpoint Birmingham, explained our support. “As a long-standing supporter of the St Patrick’s Day Festival, Motorpoint is delighted to be sponsoring this year’s St Pat Rocks and we are all looking forward to seeing Finbar Furey on stage next weekend bringing the 2019 St Patrick’s Day Festival to a fitting finale.”

Motorpoint currently has a network of branches throughout the West Midlands. There are two branches in the immediate region – Lichfield Road, Aston, Birmingham and Churchbridge Road in Oldbury. Together they stock over 1,000 low mileage nearly new cars available to drive away same day from over 30 different manufacturers. And they are all backed by its recently launched Price Pledge. Launched in November 2018, we will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find a like for like car from a competitor. As an added bonus, we will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.
