Our home delivery service means you can buy a new car and even deliver it to your door.

We have been monitoring the Government’s guidelines regarding the delivery of vehicles during this period of social distancing, and have adapted our service accordingly to ensure the safety of both the delivery drivers and our customers. What’s more, given the current COVID-19 situation we have decided to make home delivery available free of charge for all mainland UK addresses from your nearest branch (internal branch transfer costs may apply). This, along with our 14 day money back guarantee, means you can buy with complete peace of mind.

How home delivery works

Home delivery is currently available Monday to Friday, with appointment slots between 10am and 5pm.

Once you’ve found the car you want to buy and completed your order with one of our Sales team members, our Feefo Platinum award-winning Customer Service team will be in contact to arrange  a delivery date and explain the process in detail.

You can complete all your online paperwork through our collections portal and then your car will be delivered by a member of the Motorpoint delivery team. They will just handover the keys so you can start enjoying your new car.

Can I speak to someone about my home delivery?

What do I need to provide when I arrange home delivery?

You'll need to upload your driving licence to our online portal as proof of your ID and address. The address on your licence must match the address you gave when you placed your order. You will also need your ID when your car is delivered.

When do I need to have my insurance in place?

You can take advantage of our free 3-day insurance cover, offered in partnership with Tempcover. This can only be arranged on the day of your delivery and needs to be set up before you drive your car. You'll then have time to shop around and get the best quote for your car. You'll receive details of how to activate your cover by email shortly before your delivery.

How do I tax my car?

To tax your car, you'll need to have your licence plate number and 12-digit V5 number. We will send you your V5 number the day before your delivery. You can then tax your car on the DVLA website.

How can I see any imperfections on a car before it’s delivered?

We only sell nearly new cars but they are all prepped to the Motorpoint Standard so any chips, scratches and dents are treated by our team of experts before the car goes on sale. Your car will be as good as new!

Can I view the car before delivery?

You can view cars at any of our branches. We advise you to call before making the journey to check the car will be available. You'll also be able to take a test drive.

What should I do if my car has imperfections on delivery?

If you have any issues with the car on delivery, you can speak to your delivery driver, get in touch with the team on homedelivery@motorpoint.co.uk or call 01332 921 009. You have the right to return your car for any reason within 14 days and we will collect it for free for the first 7 days.

Can I test drive the car if I get home delivery?

You can’t test drive the car but you do have up to 14 days to get to know your new car and make sure it is the right one for you. If you decide it isn’t quite right, you have 14 days in which to return it to us for a full refund. We’ll even collect your car free of charge up to 7 days after your delivery.

Can I collect my car instead?

Yes. If you change your mind, you can choose to pick up your car from any of our branches with contactless collection.

Can I buy a car for someone else?

Unfortunately not, as the delivery address needs to match the billing address of the person buying the car. However, once you own the car, you can transfer the V5 to anyone you want.
