How to claim on your Motorpoint Warranty & Asset Protection
All cars and vans sold at Motorpoint come with a warranty to help keep you and your new purchase on the road. You also have the option to purchase a Motorpoint Extended Warranty for years of hassle-free motoring
How do I get my warranty policy documents?
If you purchased a Motorpoint Extended Warranty and gave us your email address when you bought your car, your policy documents will be sent to your inbox within 48 hours of taking delivery.
If you didn’t open the email, or didn’t provide your email address when you bought your car, the documents will have been posted to your home address.
If you don’t have the policy documents to hand when you need to make a claim, the warranty provider will need the following information:
- Vehicle registration plate
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Your postcode
What to do if you need to make a claim on your Motorpoint warranty
You must contact the warranty provider before authorising any repairs to your vehicle, or you risk not being covered for those costs. Warranty coverage starts seven days after purchasing your policy, if you encounter a problem with your car before then, contact Motorpoint directly.
All current warranty policies for Motorpoint vehicles are provided by ITC Compliance Ltd. If you bought your car before 1 May 2021 then you need to contact a different company – scroll down for more information.

What to do if you need to claim on Motorpoint Asset Protection
If you purchased your car or van on finance, you might have taken out a Motorpoint Asset Protection policy. This is sometimes called GAP insurance and covers the difference in value between the vehicle’s purchase price and the amount your insurance policy will pay out if the car is written off, which is typically its market value at the time.

Making a warranty or Motorpoint Asset Protection claim if you bought your car before 1 May 2021
Motorpoint customers who bought their car or van before 1 May 2021 will have warranty coverage and Asset Protection provided by Auto-Protect.
