How to claim

All cars and vans sold at Motorpoint come with a warranty to help keep you and your new purchase on the road. You also have the option to purchase a Motorpoint Extended Warranty for years of hassle-free motoring.

How to use your Breakdown Assistance

Who you need to contact for your breakdown assistance depends on when you bought your car. If you bought your car:

after 1 May 2021 but before 1 February 2024

  • Call 01206 812 763 for breakdown assistance.

on or after 1 February 2024

  • Call 01206 812 882 for breakdown assistance.

How do I get my warranty policy documents?

If you purchased a Motorpoint Extended Warranty and gave us your email address when you bought your car, your policy documents will be sent to your inbox within 48 hours of taking delivery.

If you didn’t open the email, or didn’t provide your email address when you bought your car, the documents will have been posted to your home address.

If you purchased your vehicle after 1 November 2023 your policy documents may also be available via your policy provider's portal. Please see below for details.

If you don’t have the policy documents to hand when you need to make a claim, the warranty provider will need the following information:

  • Vehicle registration plate
  • Your name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your postcode

How to claim on Motorpoint Warranty

Who you need to contact for your Extended Warranty depends on when you bought your car. If you bought your car:

before 1 May 2021

  • Contact AutoProtect on 01279 456 512

after 1 May 2021 but before 1 November 2023

after 1 November 2023 but before 1 February 2024

  • Contact MyPremia on 0161 451 4812
  • Alternatively, log in to your MyPremia account by visiting https://www.mypremia.co.uk. This will give you access to your documents, let you submit or manage a claim, update your personal details or cancel your policy.

on or after 1 February 2024

  • Call 0114 553 6002 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • If you need to raise a claim outside of working hours, please do so via your claims portal and you will get a call back by 2pm the next working day. You will have received a link by email within 24hrs of collecting your vehicle, through which you will be able to access your warranty portal online.

How to claim on Motorpoint Asset Protection or GAP insurance

Who you need to contact for your Asset Protection or GAP insurance depends on when you bought your car. If you bought your car:

before 1 May 2021

after 1 May 2021 but before 1 November 2023

after 1 November 2023 but before 12 February 2024

  • Contact MyPremia on 0161 451 4812
  • Alternatively, log in to your MyPremia account by visiting https://www.mypremia.co.uk. This will give you access to your documents, let you submit or manage a claim, update your personal details or cancel your policy.

How to claim on Williams Paint Protection

All claims under this warranty must be reported immediately and later than 28 days to Ultimotive Limited before any action is taken and authorisation is given.

Where a valid claim is made under this warranty, Ultimotive will arrange for such inspection, repair, or refinishing of the vehicle with Synthetic Coat as Ultimotive reasonably deems appropriate.
