Why buy a used Ford Transit van

The Ford Transit is a versatile and reliable full-size van that has become a staple for businesses. The Ford Transit and Transit Custom vans are also available as crew vans and people movers.

Are Ford Transit vans reliable?

Yes, Ford vans are among the safest on the road. In Euro NCAP’s 2022 commercial vehicle crash tests, both the Transit and Transit Custom were awarded a Gold rating.

FAQs

Yes, Ford vans are among the safest on the road. In Euro NCAP’s 2022 commercial vehicle crash tests, both the Transit and Transit Custom were awarded a Gold rating. Only the VW Transporter performed similarly, and only the Fiat Ducato came out with a Platinum rating.

The Ford Transit and Transit Custom have a great reputation for reliability, and that’s part of the reason they’re so popular. Keep up with scheduled maintenance and a Ford van shouldn’t have much trouble cresting 150,000 miles – or much more, in some cases. Newer Ford vans don’t tend to have major rust problems, either.

Besides the safety, reliability and choice, you also can take advantage of the Ford Pro servicing experience, which aims to minimise the amount of time your van is off the road. Additionally, Ford vans offer a car-like driving experience and much of the same equipment that you’d find in a Fiesta or Focus.
