FAQs

Suzuki currently makes a couple of SUVs – there's the rugged Vitara, which is a small family SUV that's available with a four-wheel-drive 'allgrip' option. At the smaller end of the scale there's the dinky Suzuki Ignis – a boxy SUV that's no longer than most city cars, but again is available with four-wheel-drive. Then there's the Suzuki S-Cross which is a little longer than the Vitara and feels a touch nicer inside but struggles for rear passenger space.

Suzuki consistently scores well in reliability tests and ownership surveys – the Suzuki Vitara came 7th in the 2022 What Car? reliability survey for small SUVs, with a score of 96.4%. The Suzuki brand as a whole came third overall with a 97.1% reliability rating.

If you're after a practical, reliable and hard-wearing SUV then a Suzuki SUV is a good choice. Don't expect the latest creature comforts or luxury interiors, but the Ignis, Vitara and S-Cross all share rugged interiors that can shrug off the worst of family life.

The smallest Suzuki SUV is the dinky Ignis – you could argue it's a city car, but it has an upright boxy body and the option of four-wheel drive, so you can think of it more as a micro SUV!
