The UK’s leading independent car retailer has teamed up with The Prince of Wales Hospice to build an ice skating rink at its five acre branch on Whistler Drive near J32 Outlet Centre and Xscape in the run up to Christmas. The ice skating rink will be open on Saturday, December 21 between 9am – 6pm and Sunday, December 22 between 10am and 5pm. There is ample free parking onsite, free Wi-Fi as well as a wide selection of hot and cold food and drinks available to purchase at the Motorpoint Café.

What’s more, a number of local businesses will be exhibiting at the event on both days to give visitors the opportunity to purchase last minute stocking fillers while the Castleford Tigers players have agreed to participate in a special ‘Selection Box Treasure Hunt’ on Saturday, December 21.

Motorpoint is based on Whistler Drive in Castleford. A short drive from J32 of the M62, the branch officially opened in April 2016 after a multi-million pound investment in the site on the former Glasshoughton Colliery. The branch stocks over 500 low mileage used cars available to drive away same day from over 30 different manufacturers backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. Launched last year, Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car from a competitor. As an added bonus, it will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.
