After what has been a disastrous experience with Motorpoint and their third-party insurance company Spectrum, I can finally post an honest review Motorpoint Newport initially sold us a car not fit for purpose despite their “thorough quality checks”. We went through Spectrum to sort the issue which has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Horrendous communications, endless emails to numerous people involved who had no idea what to do. Major improvement needed! Stay well clear of Spectrum! Don’t even waste your money! They ask you to pay upfront for repairs, then tell you they will refund you which takes a ridiculously long time, but only if they agree to refund you! If you don’t have savings, then proceed with caution! Our car was taken off the road as no longer safe to drive, the car sat in the garage for weeks and weeks as Spectrum wouldn’t give clear instructions on the repair. After 7 weeks of having no car, we decided to escalate the issue further and spoke with SOPHIE WILLIAMS (Head of customer service, Newport) who has been FANTASTIC. Sophie acted as our point of contact, escalating our issues to the directors, and provided options for us to go forward. She helped proceed with a rejection of the vehicle and even assisted us with a second sale!! Without Sophie taking control of the issue nothing would have been resolved and we would have walked away. Motorpoint should recognise that Sophie is an outstanding member of staff, and she has been a light in all of this!

Arrived to view the car and was handed the keys and left to have a good look at the vehicle . No pushy sales advisor following me around. Went off with my husband for a test drive, again no sales advisor present. I was given as much time as I wanted to make a decision about the car without sales pressure. Couldn’t fault the service
