TOYOTA AVENSIS Car Review
A practical motor for practical families
You may not get too excited about the way the Toyota Avensis looks - but don't be fooled - this car is definitely still a shrewd buy. That’s because it is a typical Toyota and does most things pretty well, and its ultra reliable.
Taxi fleets run a lot of Toyota Avensis models and that’s because they do big mileages with no problems. On the inside the Toyota Avensis cabin may be a bit bland with lots of dark plastics, but it is well put together and has a solid long lasting feel.
Another strength is plenty of leg and headroom room front and back, plus one of the biggest boots in the class. There’s a 1.8 petrol and 2.0 and 2.2 litre diesels, go for a diesel with between 45 and 60 mpg, they are pretty wallet friendly. The driving experience fits into the solid and steady category, but no-one should be buying an Avensis for seat of the pants thrills - this is a practical motor for practical families.
