CITROEN DS3 Car Review
Mightier than the Mini!
Any car that takes on the Mini head on needs to be special. Any car considered by some critics to be better than the Mini must be excellent.
And that’s exactly what Citroen have delivered with their DS3 model, one that has been dubbed France’s answer to the Mini.
That’s because the DS3 has stand out individuality - like the Mini - but with even more drama, courtesy of striking LED headlights and its’ imposing deep grille. The side profile is even more imposing because of a shark like fin cut into the window shape.
Having grabbed your attention on the outside the DS3 interior is just as provocative with an identity all of its own, and it has a premium feel about it. That premium feel is why Citroen have now made the DS a brand in its own right, highlighted by the DS initials on the bonnet and boot.
The DS3 is also fun to drive, not surprising because it shares the same 1.6 litre petrol engine as the Mini Cooper, although it can’t quite match the go kart handling of the Mini.
The DS3 is now an established sales success and the perfect wheels if you are looking for a cool small car with character and a touch of quality, and it’s cheaper than the Mini.
