Motorpoint helps Children First Derby raise £4000 from Masquerade Ball10 November 2016
Motorpoint has helped Children First Derby raise £4,000 at its inaugural Masquerade Ball last month at the iPro Stadium in Derby
The UK’s leading car supermarket teamed up with the long-established children charity, based on Leopold Street in the city, to help fund the special event at the home of Derby County in late October featuring former Derby County player Michael Johnson. Motorpoint also provided a special prize for the hugely popular charity auction on the night.
Satvir Atwal, General Manager of Motorpoint Derby, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have been able to support this year’s Children First Derby Masquerade Ball. It was great to see so many people from the city coming together to support the event and in the process raise a fantastic amount of money for a wonderful charity.”
Danny Smith, Chief Executive of Children First Derby, added: “We have been very fortunate to have not only a wonderful supportive sponsor in Motorpoint but also many very generous local businesses and individuals who donated gifts for our auction and raffle. Apart from raising so much money for the charity which has been helping vulnerable children, young people and families in Derby for over 40 years, the Ball brings together the many people who have given tremendous support to Children First Derby.”
