25 July 2017 Press Release

Motorpoint is encouraging people to get their skates on and head down to Motorpoint in Chingford next month for a Roller Disco

“We’re all looking forward to getting our skates on August 12 and joining everyone else at Motorpoint in raising as much money as possible for Teens Unite”

The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which has a branch on Lea Valley Road in Chingford, has teamed up with Teens Unite to host a special Charity Roller Disco on Saturday, August 12.

The five acre branch will be transformed into a special roller rink, with dazzling lights, and pumping sound system from 7pm onwards. There will also be a selection of food and drinks stalls open on the night. Entry will be £5 per person including skate hire. All profits from the event will go towards supporting the work of Teens Unite.

Teens Unite, which was co-founded in 2007 by Karen Millen OBE and Debbie Pezzani, provides ongoing support to anyone between the ages of 13-24 who is either undergoing treatment or in remission for cancer. Based in Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, Teens Unite runs a series of regular workshops for teens affected by cancer from across London and the South East.

Steven Papworth, General Manager of Motorpoint in Chingford, said: “We’re all looking forward to getting our skates on August 12 and joining everyone else at Motorpoint in raising as much money as possible for Teens Unite.”

Debbie Pezzani, CEO and Co-Founder of Teens Unite, added: “We’re extremely grateful to Motorpoint for allowing us to host our Roller Disco at their Chingford branch next month."
