The Role

We are looking for a talent Retail Marketing Manager to join our marketing team to be a key driver in a step change in our marketing not only within Motorpoint but across the used car industry.  We have great ambitions to excel in our marketing efforts with a strong focus on our digital channels and the customer and brand proposition which are central to our future success. 

Our ideal candidate will support and guide  marketing  activity at a local dealership level. As a key member of the Marketing  team, the successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing function  and the local dealerships to identify the most effective way to drive awareness and footfall across the estate.

So let us tell you a little bit more about the role and what we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is able to build strong working relationship with Site General Managers and Regional Managers while exploring new opportunities for high impact local dealership marketing. It is important that the successful candidate has sound commercial acumen and the ability to identify local marketing opportunities that will deliver significant ROI

Working and representing the marketing team in a positive, collaborative and supportive way is key to this role.

Along side all of this we would also be looking for someone who is able to seek out trends, opportunities and challenges in the automotive retail industry which could impact marketing activity

The key requirements for this role include:

·         Demonstrable understanding of the retail landscape

·         Strong knowledge of consumer shopping journey and experience of optimising it.

·         Demonstrate experience in driving footfall to retail sites through tactical and seasonal promotions

·         Strong organisational skills particularly organised consumer facing events

·         Excellent  analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Confident communicator with ability to manage key stakeholders.

·         Automotive experience preferred but will consider applicants from a diverse retail background

Motorpoint was established in 1998 and we have recently celebrated our 20th birthday, we have 12 great sites across the UK plus our Head Office and Online Sales team in Derby. Motorpoint’s first site was in Derby and our most recent site has been opened in Sheffield. We are a fast paced growing business with our values at the heart of everything we do.  We stock over 7000 cars that are all under 3 years old and have less than 15,000 miles on the clock.
