Learning and Development Co-ordinator

Location: Derby
Hours: 22.5 Three days per week
Salary: £14,400 p/a

The Role

Part-Time £14,400 per annum (pro rata of £24,000)

Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will provide first-rate administrative and organisational support to the Learning and Development Team. You will also organise and deliver the Motorpoint Skills for Life and Work Programme for Team Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of People Development and Regional Trainer  to provide training that meet the job skills and personal development needs of Motorpoint’s Team Members and is line with the annual training plan.
  • Organise and deliver training opportunities provided through Motorpoint’s Skills for Life and Work Programme.
  • Communicate information proactively and clearly to ensure all team members are aware of training opportunities.
  • Update and maintain the careers pages of the Motorpoint website.
  • Deliver where appropriate training to team members.
  • Administer and co-ordinate Motorpoint’s Management Apprenticeships.
  • Support Motorpoint’s elearning provision and direct learners to suitable resources.
  • Provide training delegates for all learning and development activities  with joining instructions, course information and follow up bookings and evaluations.
  • Administer all training: booking travel and accommodation, food, venues and maintaining records.
  • Produce training materials and prepare resources for training events.
  • Meet weekly with the learning and development team to plan and review.
  • ·     Achieve agreed quarterly performance objectives.

Experience and qualifications

  • Preferably CIPD qualified in learning and development or similar qualification.
  • If not qualified must have a minimum of 3 years in a training related role with experience of delivery.
  • Good level of coaching skills, preferably having taken part in training or holding a qualification,
  • Experience of apprenticeship programmes and elearning would be an advantage.
  • Good IT skills, use of word and excel and willing to gain a high level of powerpoint skill and interactive/design skills.
  • Willing to keep up to date with current training methods and thinking.
  • Travel to all Motorpoint sites, willing to stay over.
  • Full driving licence with own car.  (Expenses paid at .45p per mile).
