Being a multiple award winning company doesn't happen by chance; we always aim to improve. This is reflected in the industry leading training and development that every team member receives.

Motorpoint's Learning and Qualification Centre (The LQC)

We provide a structured, high quality approach to your learning and development. With a variety of development opportunities to suit your needs for job skills development, personal development and development.

We have 3 levels of accreditation. If you attend a workshop you receive a Certificate of Attendance. If you provide evidence you have used this training and improved as a result we will turn this into a Skills Award. Collect 3 Skills Award and we will give you a Qualification.

All these levels attract training points. Training Points provide you with a sense of progression and achievement and when you have been awarded 50 points you will receive a £50 voucher.

Some of the courses we offer are Qualifications in their own right. There are 2 elements to our provision:

Management Development

This year we are focussing upon the coaching skills of our managers and have a number of courses available: You can choose from a programme accredited by the Association of Coaches, an action learning approach or an e-learning approach.

We also offer 2 Institute of Management Development Awards which all managers complete in their first 2 years of working for us:

Our Talent Programmes are growing increasingly popular and very successful in identifying and developing people with the potential for management roles in the future.

Our Senior Development Programme for existing managers takes an action learning approach to working on projects of strategic business importance. This is a one year programme.

Skills for life and work

Have a look at the menu of short courses we offer. Team Members can book themselves onto these through their manager to develop both their personal skills and their work skills. This year we are investing in the internationally renowned development programmes:

Springboard for Women
Women's Development Programme
Navigator for Men
Men's Development Programme

We invest significantly in your on the job training. Currently being developed are our in house qualifications for every area of the business. Each area has 6 - 8 modules that cover every aspect of your job. Team Members are trained, observed, given feedback and then assessed for competence.

When you complete all your modules you receive a relevant qualification and a bonus. We currently have in house qualifications in PDI Inspections and Yard Operations, Administration, Customer Service and Online Sales.
