Since 1998, Motorpoint has been instrumental in revolutionising the way in which the British public has bought new and nearly new cars.
Historically, we have paid more for our cars than almost anywhere else in Europe. From the outset, Motorpoint has sought to redress the balance, leading the campaign to wrestle control from the manufacturers and their dealer networks, and create a simple and straightforward transparent pricing policy.
Our business model has never changed since we opened for business. Our buying power enables us to bulk purchase a wide selection of cars from suppliers across the UK and Europe – savings which we then pass on direct to the customer.
It is a formula which has proved hugely popular. To date, Motorpoint has sold over 180,000 cars – saving customers over £90 million in the process on franchised dealer prices. This equates to a saving of around £5,000 on every car sold – enough to take a family of four on holiday to Florida (and have some change). In fact, such has been the impact of Motorpoint that it is the only car supermarket to have sold a car to every postal area in the UK.
Today, Motorpoint can rightly lay claim to being Britain’s biggest and best car supermarket. With five sites nationwide, no other car company can offer the choice of marks or models under one roof.
